Fujairah is an emirate in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that is located on the Gulf of Oman and the eastern coast of the Musandam Peninsula. It is the only emirate in the UAE that has no territory on the Persian Gulf. Fujairah is known as the “Mountain Emirate” because it is almost entirely mountainous. It has a total area of 1,450 sq. km and an estimated population of 256,256 in 2019.
