The Seychelles is a republic of 115 islands in the western Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar. It’s one of the world’s smallest countries, with a surface area of 175.7 square miles. The islands are divided into two groups: the inner group, made up of about 40 rocky islands, and the outer group, made up of low-lying coralline islands.
